Rooted in the Prophetic tradition.

A nonprofit in Elmont, New York, serving families in Yemen, Jordan, Bangladesh and here at home.

We exist to serve our fellow human beings: to feed the hungry, care for orphans and lift up communities pushed to the margins.

Our mission

Al-Kawthar is a nonprofit rooted in the Prophetic tradition, encouraging people to serve their fellow human beings and society. We feed the hungry, aid orphans and lift up communities pushed to the margins.

Our vision

A world where everyone lives by the Golden Rule, wanting for their brothers and sisters what they want for themselves: safe shelter, healthy food, clean drinking water and the chance to grow.
